Submit your Paper in EDAS

To use EDAS, you will need to log in first.

  • If you already have an account, please enter your email address and password on the EDAS login page.
  • If you do not know whether you have an account on this EDAS system, try entering your email address. EDAS will check whether your account exists or not, and respond accordingly.
  • If you have an account but forgot your password, please leave the password field blank; EDAS will e-mail your password to you.

If you do not have an account on the EDAS system you need to register as a user. It is simple; initially only the fields marked with a red star (name, affliation, country, email, status) are required. You may update all other input fields later.

  • Please use a university, corporate, government, email address. Anonymous email addresses may delay creation of the account.   Note that EDAS uses your e-mail domain to check conflicts of interest during the peer review process.
  • If you have only a public domain email address like gmail or hotmail, then please register and EDAS admin may send a re-confirmation email which you have to click to confirm; or you can contact help@edas-help.com.

The EDAS support staff is very prompt and helpful.  The password for accessing the EDAS system will be sent to you via e-mail. Once you receive your password, you can return to EDAS and log in. You will also find that all of the direct paper submission and information links to EDAS on the ICTSA website will now bring you directly to the correct EDAS page or web form.

Registering the paper records the paper’s title, abstract, topics and authors in EDAS. Before submitting a manuscript for review, the paper has to be registered.

Note that we have provided direct links on the ICTSA website to simplify your access to EDAS. Once you are registered you can directly access the main list of conference tracks on EDAS. Or if you visit our program page the graphic for each conference track will link you directly with a track page, if one has been created by the track chair, or directly into the EDAS submission system for that track. For more information on individual tracks please see our list of track chairs.

Once you are in the submission system for a particular track you will see a web form to register your paper. Fill in the form:

  • Enter title and short abstract of the paper. Your paper title should NOT be in all upper or all lower-case.
  • Check the box “Add yourself as author” if you are an author of the paper. You can add other authors later and you can change the order of authors.
  • Enter keywords, if you wish – these can help the track chair to select reviewers for your paper.

Once you have all the information filled in, click on the “Submit” button at the bottom of the page. This will lead to a page that acknowledges your paper’s registration and allows you to add authors if needed. You can also change the order of authors.

A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you.

Add authors by following the link after registering the paper or going to your EDAS home page and following the link for your paper. Note that it is best if every author has an EDAS ID so that they can view/access the manuscript. Also, your paper has to have at least one author before you can submit a manuscript.

EDAS provides a comprehensive set of tools to help with the review process. It can check conflicts of interest between reviewers and authors – you may be asked to set up a conflict-of-interest list if you are helping with reviewing papers for ICTSA.

After registering the paper you will find a link to upload your review manuscript.  You can also click the upload icon (last item in the ‘Change Add” column) in the details table. In some browsers, you may need to temporarily disable the “pop-up blocker”.

Note that after the review process you will most likely need to improve your manuscript based on reviewer comments and inputs. The you will need to upload a final manuscript, in ( ) compatible ( ) Template WORD format.
